certified specialists, certified technicians, and support staff regularly
attend medical conferences, lectures, and meetings to stay current with advances
in veterinary health care. We also host
in-house
continuing education for our doctors and staff, as well as for local veterinarians
and their staff.
All of our veterinary specialists are board certified.
What is a board certified specialist? After completing undergraduate
education and four years of veterinary school to become a doctor of veterinary
medicine, a specialist must receive an additional two to five years of advanced
education and training in an accredited residency program. They then must
pass a rigorous national board examination to receive board certification
in their specialty.
