Alyce joined the Fox Valley Animal Referral Center as the hospital administrator in November 1996. She was instrumental in establishing the Green Bay Animal Emergency Center in 1999, and became a founding partner of Horizon Veterinary Services, Inc. in 2000. She has more than 20 years of experience in business leadership and human resource management. After eight years in retail management, it was Alyce’s passion for animals that lead her to join the team of a busy 24-hour emergency veterinary practice. She immediately knew that veterinary health care was her calling.

In addition to Alyce’s extensive experience in customer service and business administration, she has worked in the field of veterinary medicine as a receptionist, an assistant, a licensed technician and a practice manager. Her well-rounded experience gives her the insight she needs to understand and lead the veterinarians, support staff and hospital managers working in the Horizon practices.

As the executive director of Horizon Veterinary Services, Inc., Alyce oversees operations at all of the Horizon hospitals. She works closely with each hospital manager by advising and coaching on human resource issues, client service, marketing and public relations, establishing and enforcing protocols, and overall business organization. She believes that a good leader empowers his or her team and assists team members in finding their passions and achieving individual successes.

In her free time, Alyce can be found hiking with her husband and two Labrador mixes, Spencer and Katie, or reading a book. She also enjoys water-skiing, camping, going to the movies and traveling.

Alyce is an integral part of the Fox Valley Animal Referral Center, Green Bay Animal Emergency Center, and Horizon Veterinary Services team. She is a driving force behind the excellence that the community has come to know from our practices.
